Art for me is a way to express my love and passion for wildlife and to communicate
the urgent need to respect and protect the natural world
Nidhi’s passion and commitment to wildlife spans back to the year 2012. Her Forte` lies in painting the wild habitat in its freshest form and her love for vibrant contrasting colors further pins her interest to wildlife. Nidhi also specializes in Portraitures. She believes that the eyes are the windows to ones soul and in her paintings she focuses upon the eye of the individual in an attempt to communicate the emotion and personality of her subject. Nidhi is popularly known as a Soft Pastel Artist but she does not restrict herself to a single medium and uses a combination of one or more mediums.
Through her paintings she seeks to Enrich and Inspire people to be responsible towards their relationship with the wild habitat. She strongly feels that there is a necessity to learn further about what we have and why we need to preserve and protect our habitat in this age of information.
An Entirely self-taught artist and an entrepreneur by profession, the Bangalore based Artist decided to concentrate solely on painting and sketching wild animals in their natural habitat. Following her continuous passion and love for wildlife, Nidhi soon found herself associated Manju Acharya photography. She has been actively involved in raising funds and awareness for wildlife through the sale of her original paintings and limited edition prints.
During her visit to various Wildlife sanctuaries and forest reserves across the country the artist witnessed the mesmerising and mystic world of jungles. While admiring the sweet side like any other tourist she also encountered the horrors through rapidly deteriorating flora and fauna triggered by man through deforestation, poaching, poisoning , hunting, and abuse of species.
It's with this that Nidhi has always pledged to herself that whilst making her living from her wildlife art it only feels right to balance her success by giving back to Nature by raising funds through the sale of her paintings.
Nidhi supports wildlife conservation efforts in the state of Karnataka. Sale of her her paintings and other products from her wildlife gift shop have raised funds for the Mariamma Charitable Trust, Bandipur.
Nidhi accepts commissions to raise funds for various Wildlife Conservation activities.
